I'll give you two guesses ....

....  who gave me the more settled and comfortable hack this morning. OK, who got it in one? Ace!  Bad luck those who took two tries, no prizes for you :-)

Joy of joys, Ace was just beautiful. Even though  he is still a spooky boy at times, I have lost all fear of him doing anything really daft. I realised that it's because I can feel his back all the time, so I can tell well in advance if he was going to do anything.

On top of that, this morning he had a new shoulder movement that I have not felt before. Much bigger, much more rotation in the joints and reaching a natural 'stop point' that I have trouble describing, but I can clearly feel. A bit like a train gently touching up against a cushioned bumper.

And the whole time in walk he is sachaying along, so relaxed, with such an enormous stride length coming from behind and such a loose swing from under the saddle.

I have won the lottery :-)

  2. Uhm.....I take it radaR was his usual rambunctious self? *lol*

Great news again about Ace. I do recall, in the not so distant past, that your taking him out on a hack was a risky adventure. This is a huge change.

I can hardly wait for the real schooling to start up again. It's going to be amazing.
