Hooligan.

That big black hooligan is too fit for his own good :-)   I've tightened his curb chain, which admittedly was too loose, to get a little more respect for the speed that I want to go at.  It just about worked. I made him walk calmly all the way home from my friend's house and he was not impressed.

Ace continues to build up back muscle. I am feeling every back I come across now. I've realised that I have a problem because Radar's back is exceptionally soft and spongy. So there is no point trying to compare Ace with a horse who is not normal himself.  Compared to other horses I am feeling, Ace is doing just hunky dory :-)

The vets who operated on him are so impressed with his latest video that they've asked for permission to use it on their Facebook page. I said yes, of course, but what a giggle. The horse whose owner completely ignored the recommended rehab becomes the poster boy for the operation.

  1. Now THAT is more than a giggle. I take it this is the surgeon and not the practice that gave you all the attitude??? Does he know you broke all the rehab protocol? Either way, I think it's great.

As for the "hooligan...." You'd think after all this time he'd begin to realize these things are non-negotiable. He keeps trying to get you to either come around to his way of thinking, or at least strike some kind of compromise...definitely favoring his point of view. (Sounds a bit like Tucker.) What a character.

  2. Ha how funny. Let's hope they consider the recommended rehab having seen how well Ace is doing. Wouldn't that be great for other horses.

    1. I've told him that I'm going to write a report at the end of the actual rehab that I gave him Lynda. Only if he's cured, of course!!
