Bland, Dull and Boring

So that was a successful hack then! I almost had to wake myself up to open the gate to get back into the yard :-)   In the whole ride I can't describe anything Ace did as a spook, he was so much calmer than usual.  If he's not ill, then this is progress indeed.

Dull and Boring, by the way are twinned towns, one in Germany and one in England. Bland in Australia is now going to join them making a three parter of Bland, Dull and Boring. Isn't that just wonderful? It's the kind of thing I find it worth getting out of bed for in the morning :-)

Radar was anything but. He has rapidly regained his fitness and is bursting with energy. We cantered up a long steep hill in the middle of plenty of other hill work today and he was still full of energy. I had to stop several times on the way home to make it clear to him that it is not his decision how fast we get home. I suppose I should be grateful he stops at all - he certainly thinks so !!

  1. Gotta love the towns and a formerly frisky horse who seems to be accepting the namesake. It is remarkable what a difference freedom from pain is making in Ace. Sending best wishes that is just keeps up.

As for Radar...well, enthusiasm knows no bounds. He's just a fun fellow and obviously ready to hunt!
    When does the season start?

  4. Ha, love it!

And that's how it should be with horses, especially out hacking. As for Radar, I guess he is programmed to go forward, fast, and only stop when he has no choice. I forget - what breed is he? If you ever get tired of his name you can always call him "Fast Forward" :-)
