I have not got enough energy to go hunting, but to make sure that Radar is fit enough to go next week if I am, we went out for a hack. He was absolutely lovely. Swinging along with a song in his heart the whole way out and the whole way back. The scenery was spectacular - mist filled valleys, snow-capped hills, the dish telescope at Jodrell Bank peeping up out of the mist like a low-lying moon. A good to be alive, even with a wracking cough, day.
Woody has finally realised that his feet don't hurt him at all, even though the ground is still frozen. If he is sound schooling for half an hour tomorrow, then we will be Farm Riding on Monday, which is beyond my wildest expectations.
I plan to ride poor ignored Ace tomorrow as well if I am up to it.

Glad you are taking it just one horse at a time. No point in overdoing if it's going to make you too sick to ride.
ReplyDeleteGood boy, Radar. Sounds as if radaR is vanishing more and more every day.
radaR doesn't live here any more Jean. He visits once in a while for a short time and then we wave him goodbye again :-)
ReplyDeleteIt only took three years to see the blighter off!
