I've been away a couple of days so there's little to report. Just that I normally get the boys in at nine in the morning and when I got home at four this afternoon, not only were they in, but I had the distinct impression that they'd been in since nine this morning!
Ace's back is so squishy, I think I'll lunge him in a moment to check his movement.
We have a date, 9th October, and a price £1600 including VAT. He had better behave himself between now and then :-)

Had to do a currency conversion to figure it out, but, while it's expensive for the surgery, it's not as much as I was expecting. Considering it all, it's a darn good value for a horse like Ace.
ReplyDeleteHow did he lunge?
Very free, I could see the muscles rippling in his back and his walk overtrack was well over twelve inches. His downhill walk when he leaves the barn to go out into the field has now developed a lateral swing in the hind end.
ReplyDeletePart of the fee is four days in hospital, but it's standing sedation so I'm not sure why they want him that long. I'll be trying to get him home sooner, I don't like my boys away from home for too long!
