As well as that, Bob is cheap, 50 quid for the two, so it's a win all round.
Radar was very good. Ace s a bit more tricky but Bob just followed his head wherever it went and eventually Ace realised that there was no point trying to get away.
We have visitors this weekend so I have not ridden, but I took one of them out on the lead rein on Radar. I was on foot, All was fine until we got to the bottom of the hill up to home and then Radar just went bananas and insisted he was going to gallop up it!!!!
I grabbed Ann's coat and swung him sharp towards me and then she made a hasty dismount. It was a close thing for a moment there! What a naughty boy, but we couldn't help but laugh at him.
The weather is disgusting right now. I won't be riding today unless it cheers up.

not a lead rein pony then, that could have been nasty well done your quick thinking....
ReplyDeletethe bad weather is heading from you to here, by the look of it!

My vet uses power tools, but she has had a lot of training and extra education. Still makes me a little nervous.
ReplyDeleteSilly Radar. Glad you were able to get Ann to bail out in time. That would not have been pretty. But it just goes to show how strong habit is in even well trained horses.
I don't like how easy it is to take off too much with power tools, I had such a bad experience the first time I 've avoided repeating it.

I'm with you on the power tools, have come across the "scalping" issue more than once!
