More knives

Quite proud of myself today. I took Jazz out for a short hack, froze and STILL took Radar out for a long one.

Jazz was sweet. Frightened of his own shadow, literally, as usual. I said to him "If you really hate this we will never hack again". But although he was nervous, I really got the impression that he enjoyed being out and about in the winter sunshine.  We'll try again and see how he feels about it.

Radar was what Radar is! Keen, forward, always wanting to go faster than I do. But I was wrapped up warm and we had a good time, and he needed the hills to increase his fitness again, hoping that we will get to hunt one day soon .........

Spinning pony looks like he is actually beginning to enjoy himself and offered a canter several times tonight.

Ace got the day off. I wish I had the words to describe him. He is so very quiet, so very gentle, so very much wanting to stay close to me. I've not had a horse like him before and I am beginning to really like him.

  1. What a lovely post. I'm glad you are getting Jazz out and about now and then. I feel the same way about Tucker--and just as unsure. Still the going out is good for him.

Radar is just so much fun and Buttie? What can I say. I think he's pleased to have a job at last.

Ace...nothing like a horse you can really love. Cool.

  2. I love all my boys, but I am not "close" to Radar, he's a horse who doesn't want physical contact with humans, so he is more aloof than the other three.
