Waiting for spring

There seems so little point in riding when the wind is roaring in the chimneys and the buckets are still icing over, when you know that if you just hang on for  a day or two more it will be so much easier to be outside. So this makes  yet another day when the boys get no exercise, but it won't kill them. We used our time today to go and buy a 4x4 to replace our 2 wheel drive Skoda, because it's pretty obvious that we are going to need  it as Council budgets get even more squeezed.

We think we found  a bit of a bargain; a Skoda Yeti that someone had paid a deposit on but been unable for some reason to complete the deal. No miles on the clock, and a much higher spec than we had expected to get for our budget.

Errol - lets see who works it out first :-) - will be taking up residence this time next week.

  1. Oooh a Yeti. That's what I would like when our Octavia 4x4 gets too old. Although I think that may be some time.

  2. Have no idea what a Yeti is carwise, but it sounds great. (I'll look it up on the Internet....)...ah, looks nice. Really high ratings fir safety too! Sounds to me as if you managed a really great deal!

Hope you don't need the 4X4 too much....*sigh*

    1. Skoda is the bargain badge for VW and Audi, Jean. It's really a VW Tiguan with an Audi diesel engine and a Skoda badge. It baffles me why anyone would pay thousands more just to get some rings on the front!!
