Lazy day

I had a lazy day today when I should have ridden Ace but the wind was sharp and I used it as an excuse not to.  The pair of them are behaving as if Woody was never even here. They obviously wrote him off some time ago and are quite relaxed about his disappearance. I feel very settled about it myself, very much helped by a message from his previous owner yesterday saying that I had done the right thing.

Tomorrow we will start over afresh as a two horse household and see just how much fun we can have this spring and summer.

  1. Glad you are getting support about your decision on all fronts.

I'm feeling a bit guilty about not riding today as it was a lovely day, but I also knew the forecast was taking a turn for the worse for tomorrow. I just can't get motivated when I know the next day I'll be miserable again. Might lunge the Boys a bit or just pick out the arena in a bit.

Still waiting for the weather to find some point of stabilizing. How's the snow up there? I can't get over how much you had and how long it took to clear the roads. Hope you will join some kind of community effort to get the officials on board about some proper equipment for next season. (As if you needed more to keep you busy...)

    1. Tomorrow I will post a picture of the blower they borrowed and another of the one they used to send. The weather here has not risen above 2c all day.

    1. Very much so Claire. I did offer to keep him for as long as it would take her to find a place for him to live, of course. So it was really a joint decision that it was in his best interest to be put to sleep, which helped a lot.
