Last hurdle?

We hope that's the last hurdle and we are now on the finishing straight. SH dosed himself to the eyeballs with anti-cough-and-sniff stuff so that he didn't cough and sneeze all through the pre-op checks. Provided his blood tests don't come back with enormously high white blood cell counts, or something right out of the blue, he'll be going in on Sunday at 4.30 and have a new heart valve by Monday evening.

Meanwhile, I now have his virus and feel rough. Terrific, thanks for sharing that SH !

I was planning to take Jazz to do Medium 74 today but of course I had to drop that when we got this hospital date. I did manage to hack Ace out this morning before we went. I meant to ride Jazz this afternoon but I went to bed instead. And I'm heading back there again now.

Nighty night!

  1. Good and bad, all at once. Glad to know SH will be repaired sooner than later.

Glad to know you are getting some extra rest, even if it's because you don't feel well. Do take some time to care for yourself before the surgery as afterwards you are going to have to play nurse.

Feel better and give Allan my best. Tell him to rest too!!

  2. That's no fun - getting a cold, but hopefully you will be over the worst of it in a few days. Going to bed is a good idea. Don't forget lots of fluids and vitamin C.

I've got my fingers crossed for Allan. Finally, it's less than a week!
