is this as funny as I think it is?

I have had a little hack out on both Ace and Sofa today. Ace was spooky but controllable, and Sofa did exactly what he said on the tin.

Those of you who don't live in sheep farming country may not realise that it is normal to number a sheep and its lambs so that they can be paired up easily and it can be spotted when one is missing, or has been stolen by another sheep, as they do!

Today we passed a nice flock which all lambed last month, and they were all numbered in orange sheep marker with lovely big clear numbers. Except one.

What was that sheep marked with? A giant question mark!

I spent the rest of my ride home giggling and wondering what on earth the farmer did that for.

Last night we drove Errol in the dark for the first time and discovered yet another amazing feature - the headlights turn when you turn the steering wheel. So the road in front of you is always lit. Since we live on bendy unlit roads, and my night driving sight is not good, this is going to be a huge bonus for me.

The hands-free parking is such fun that we keep driving round looking for places to park even though we don't need to leave the car :-)   And it may be warmer lately but the bum-warmer seats have still been in use!

No complaints yet, but we are relieved he's got a three year warranty because he's phenomenally complex and there is so much that could go wrong. They went to the moon with less computing power than that car has in it!

  1. Errol is indeed very clever isn't he? I like the headlight trick.

Been at Badminton Horse Trials all day. Lovely course and near perfect going. Saw some good riding, thrills and spills, with poor Bettina Hoy coming off right in front of me (on the telly!!) It was in huntsmans close. We really thought she'd broken her collar bone the way she went down, but she got up and walked away. Hats off to her.

Can you believe the ticket price was £64 for myself and my husband!!! Eeeeek.

    1. I'm always fascinated how bold lambs are until their mothers teach them to be scared, Claire.

  3. Poor little lamb? Wonder who his/her momma is.

Errol is amazing indeed. My mechanic teacher friend told me the computer systems in the newer cars were indeed space age. Radar, sonar, etc. all come into play with that parking feature too.

I suppose things can go wrong, but they seem to manage space travel with minimal malfunctions, so perhaps cars have the same reliability?
