Pop goes the weasel.

And my goodness did the weasel stink or didn't he?   But Radar didn't mind, he was just glad that weasel had got the hell out of his foot :-)

He'll be better in no time now.  It split at the heel right where it went pulpy yesterday  I'll pump it full of peroxide for another week but that's all it should need.

I still can't get any horses out, the road is a sheet of ice for two miles in one direction and half a mile up a hill in the other.  You'd hav eto have a death wish to ride on that!

A thaw is promised for the weekend - with torrential rain!!!!!

  1. Three cheers for Radar's foot. I'd bet he feels a ton better.

What the heck is the weather doing to you. First ice, then floods? Almost sounds like the seven plagues or something.

Still trying to send some sunshine but it's 22 F here today (-5.5 C) so we need all the sun we can get!

  2. it's the jet stream Jean. Climate change is sending it wobbling about all over the place. At the moment it's dragging down Arctic air and at the weekend it is going to drag up tropical water!

Because we are a tiny island, our weather is highly volatile and very difficult to predict.

  3. Rain on top of ice is the worst of the worst. Don't you dare go out in it!

Radar must be very happy with the popping of the weasel!

  4. He's not happy with me poking a syringe of hydrogen peroxide in it, but he suffers it with fairly good grace, bless him.
