Blew my hat off

Well not quite, but it would have done if I hadn't had a chinstrap on. All in all Radar was really quite good since we were working in a 25 mile an hour wind, but he got a great workout from being pretty flustered about it. The forecast for a few days is a settled high, so I hope to ride the other two tomorrow and hunt on Saturday.

I have managed to pony-spin the last two nights and Buttie just knows the routine now. He trots and canters round in circles with no lunge whip in sight (it's still in the tackroom). I think I may even try him without a lunge line, I suspect he might do it perfectly well without that either. That would be fun wouldn't it - liberty pony! What next - feathers?

  1. Butties was just waiting for you to give him a job. "Pony spinning" might have a future as some kind of energy source.
You need to get SH to start working on the concept. *G*

Hope the weather is good for the hunt!

  2. Wind here too - had to ride inside.

Tetley, in the indoor (thus walls to prevent him from going to Kansas - the next state east) lunges with no line at all. I still can't believe that you didn't teach him to lunge. I just stand in the middle and he walks or trots on the track as I request - like he's done it all his life.
