I expected more trouble from Ace today because his pattern is two steps forward and one back. He put on a spectacular firework display for SH who was watching over the wall when he got back from having two new tyres put on the lorry. When he gave in, he did some lovely transition work with some really good changes up and down between trot and canter. He is getting stronger and more capable by the day.
Tomorrow he should be calmer again and we can make even more progress. I asked SH what it looked like Ace was thinking, whether he seemed upset or what and he said that he just looked like he was having a bit of a battle of wills, not that he was upset, just trying to assert his own authority.
Radar has had a couple of days off because we did two circuits of the farm ride and jumped tons on Wednesday, but he will be working tomorrow unless we are deluged by rain.

Sooner or later, he's going to figure out that you are far more determined than he is. One can only hope he will also realize that all his temper tantrums result in is more effort and work.
