Work work work!

I went to work this morning but it was a short day with defendants pleading gulity at the door of the court when they realise that the witnesses really have turned up to testify, which happens much more often than not with trials.  So I was home before  3, and the stone for making the pathway to the gate had been delivered. So I started shovelling and wheelbarrowing and by the time I was tired I had nearly cleared a whole ton, so I just carried on until the bag was empty. I have no idea where the energy came from , a ton is one hell of a lot of stone!

The boys were begging to come in then, although it was only four o'clock. I warned Jazz that if he insisted on coming in he was going to get ridden, but he insisted away. So I rode him and very quickly got the left canter with a nice bend and the canter/walk transitions that he would not do yesterday. We did a couple of extended trots for fun, then some work on a nice forward walk and then I came inside and went to bed and had a sleep!

We are off out for a curry now, it's Friday.

  1. It's all the hoof trimming and riding you do - makes you very fit in terms of muscular strength. You might regret this tomorrow though. Take ibuprofen as a preventative? I would.

What a good, reliable boy Jazz is becoming!

  2. Love how you can now just hop on Jazz, enjoy a good ride and call it a day.

Days like that with the stone, you need my Kubota. I do admire your determination. Hope you're not sore in the morning.

    How was the curry?
