An update from Buttie. He's a lucky little man :-)
I must apologise for taking so long to email you. I just thought I would
let you know that Button has settled in very well and is now very much
part of the family! He is being a very good boy - the vet was most
impressed with how well behaved he was for his vaccinations
and microchip. My husband is also quite taken with him and quite often
volunteers to bring him in from the field which was unheard of with my
previous horse!!
I am getting fitter than I have been for some
time as I do alot of walking with him. Last weekend we accompanied Jazz
on her hack and again he was very well behaved.
I am hoping to
take him to a show next month just to do an in-hand class so I am just
hoping we get some dry weather so we will both look our best!!
I
have now got a saddle to enable the little boy I know to start riding after the cub
saddle was too small for him (the child, not Button!), and after a friend
sadly had to have her Shetland x put down Button now has more tack and
clothing than I know what to do with.
Isn't that lovely? I'm so glad I did the right thing for him. I wonder how he'll do in the show ring, it wouldn't; surprise me if he wins, he is from show stock and was quite well put together and of course a spectacular colour!

How fab.. sounds like he's fallen on his feet, couldn't really be more ideal by the sounds of it. :)
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, it does sound as if Button is in pony paradise. Just think, Buttie in the show ring! I hope she fills you in right after and we don't have to wait for the story.
ReplyDeleteYes, you certainly did right by the little guy. *S*
I am chuckling, thinking of the husband bringing in the little guy from the field. Think of all the husbands that have been drawn into the horse world because of their wives - I can think of two right now :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's lovely, happy family, and happy pony. xx

it's great news isn't it? I'm so happy about it.
